| Obverse description | Printed in black and blue using intaglio and lithographic techniques, the obverse bears an oval medallion at left enclosing a figure of Saint Sebastian and an allegorical female figure of Justice at right; a central upper vignette presents a steam locomotive drawing multiple carriages in motion. The printed signature of Antônio Arnaldo Vieira da Costa appears on the note, issued under the authority of Decree No. 253 of 8 March 1890. |
