| Obverse description | Printed in orange and dark blue by a combination of intaglio (calcography) and lithography, the obverse bears an oval vignette at left with a portrait of Luís Alves de Lima e Silva (1803–1880), Duke of Caxias, set within a decorative frame. The Arabic numeral '100' appears to the right of the vignette, with the full textual obligation — referencing Decree No. 5585 of 14 July 1932 — spread across the face alongside the issuing authority 'THESOURO DO ESTADO DE S. PAULO'. An anonymous manuscript conference signature appears on the note. |
