This note was issued jointly by two Saxon administrative districts — Annaberg and Marienberg — a pairing driven by geographic proximity in the Erzgebirge rather than any formal political merger. The year 1922 places it squarely in the early hyperinflation spiral, before the truly astronomical denominations made such modest emergency issues obsolete within months of printing. Friedrich Seidel was a small regional printer in Buchholz, and the limited production run for a dual-district issue like this kept original quantities low.
