| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in dark navy blue on cream paper within a ruled rectangular border, the reverse bears a boldly stylised woodcut-style vignette of an oak tree rising from rocky ground, its spreading canopy filling the upper field, flanked by oval cartouches from which lightning bolts descend in an expressionist graphic idiom. A decorative wave-pattern band runs across the lower portion of the design. At the top, a rectangular panel carries the numeral '100' flanked by ribbon banners inscribed 'Mark' on either side, while the printer's imprint and plate designation 'K F 22' appear below the lower border. |

Eisenach's municipal administration was one of hundreds of German city governments forced into emergency currency production as hyperinflation gutted the Reichsmark's purchasing power in 1922. This local Notgeld issue was printed by Kahle's court printing house — the same firm that handled the city's official publications — making it a genuinely municipal product rather than an outsourced commission, which was the more common arrangement for larger denominations.
The 100 Mark figure itself illustrates the velocity of the crisis: denominations at this level had been unthinkable for municipal issuers just two years earlier.
