Obverse description Central field features the state emblem of Turkmenistan, depicting a stylised eight-pointed star formed by two overlapping squares, within which an Akhal-Teke horse stands in profile to the left, surrounded by a wreath-like ring bearing traditional carpet gul motifs. A crescent moon and five-pointed star appear at the upper portion of the emblem. The legend TÜRKMENISTANYŇ MERKEZI BANKY arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination ÝÜZ MANAT is inscribed across the lower field. The fineness and weight indications appear in small text flanking the central emblem.

Reverse description The reverse displays a stylised linear depiction of an Akhal-Teke horse's head and neck in profile to the right, rendered in a modern graphic style with a sweeping curved line forming the official logo of the 2017 Ashgabat Games. A starburst motif appears to the right of the horse. The official Games logo incorporating a stylised letter 'A' with the inscriptions TURKMENISTAN and Ashgabat 2017 is positioned in the lower central field. A bilingual legend encircles the upper periphery in both Turkmen and English, reading ÝAPYK BINALARDA WE SÖWEŞ SUNGATY BOÝUNÇA V AZIÝA OÝUNLARY and 5th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games, while Aşgabat 2017 appears in the lower exergue.
