| 备注 |
The 2000-dated 100 Litų was part of Lithuania's third litas series, introduced progressively through the late 1990s as the country pursued EU integration and needed currency that met contemporary security standards. Giesecke & Devrient's Leipzig plant handled the bulk of Lithuanian banknote production across this period, giving the series a consistent technical baseline even as denominations were released in stages.
The litas itself had been restored in 1993 after the Soviet-era ruble collapse, and by 2000 was pegged to the US dollar at a fixed rate of 4 to 1 — a peg maintained until 2002, when Lithuania switched the anchor to the euro ahead of planned eurozone accession.
