100 Litara JNA, Dizel

The JNA ("Yugoslav People's Army") operated its own internal economy during the Cold War period, issuing scrip redeemable only within military canteens, fuel depots, and PX-equivalent facilities on Yugoslav bases. These notes — colloquially called "dizel" by conscripts, a term that stuck to the higher denominations — circulated in a closed loop entirely outside the civilian monetary system and were not exchangeable for Yugoslav dinars at any official rate.

Survivors are scarce not because production was limited but because there was no incentive to hold them after discharge. Most were surrendered or simply discarded at demobilization.
