Opmerkingen

The Gospodarski-Finančni Odbor Osvobodilne Fronte Slovenskega Naroda — the Economic-Financial Committee of the Liberation Front of the Slovenian People — issued this note by overprinting captured or surrendered Reichsmark currency rather than printing from scratch. It was a pragmatic wartime measure: the partisan administration lacked press infrastructure but needed a functioning medium of exchange in liberated territories. Counterstamping enemy currency was faster, cheaper, and carried an obvious political charge.

The 25 RM base note, now revalued at 100 Lit, was effectively delegitimized as German currency and re-authorized under partisan jurisdiction in a single stamp. Few examples survived the postwar transition — the notes had no validity after liberation was complete.
