Reverse description A standing female figure, representing Italia or Liberty, is depicted in full length facing right, draped in a flowing classical gown and crowned with a laurel wreath. She stands beside a plow in the lower left field, symbolizing agriculture and labor. The denomination 100 LIRE appears prominently to the left of the figure in large numerals, while the legend REGNO D'ITALIA curves along the upper right periphery. The date 1908 and the word PROVA (meaning 'pattern' or 'trial') are inscribed in the lower right field. The engraver's name ROMAGNOLI is incised along the right side of the field near the figure.
