Reverse description A crowned allegorical female figure, representing Italia, strides to the left in flowing classical robes, her right arm extended forward. The denomination 100 LIRE appears to the left of the figure in two lines, while the legend REGNO D'ITALIA arcs along the right periphery in vertical inscription. The date 1908 and the word PROVA (proof/trial) appear in the lower right field, confirming the pattern status of this piece. The ground line beneath the figure is faintly suggested, and the overall composition is rendered in a bold, high-relief style characteristic of Italian early twentieth-century pattern coinage.
