| Reverse description | Central device depicts the three medieval towers of San Marino — Guaita, Cesta, and Montale — rising above a crenellated fortified wall, rendered in fine relief. Each tower is surmounted by an ostrich feather, the heraldic emblem of the Republic of San Marino. The denomination L.100 appears in bold numerals in the lower field, with the engraver's signature visible below. The circular legend REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO runs along the upper periphery, while the date 1977, flanked by raised dots, is inscribed along the lower border. |

| Additional information |
San Marino issued this piece as part of its annual themed coinage program, which the republic used throughout the 1970s to stake out moral and political positions well beyond what a microstate might otherwise command in international attention. The 1977 series carried an anti-war theme — unusually pointed language for circulating coinage from any issuer of the period.
KM#69 is common in uncirculated condition, as San Marino's commemorative output from this era was heavily absorbed by collectors rather than spent.
