Reverse description Central device comprises the papal coat of arms of Pius XII: a heraldic shield bearing a dove with an olive branch above a mount, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed Keys of Saint Peter with pendant cords and tassels. The denomination LIRE 100 is divided on either side of the arms in the field. The circular legend CITTA DEL VATICANO curves along the upper periphery, with the date 1958 (or 1957) and the engraver's name GIAMPAOLI appearing in the lower field below the shield.
