Obverse description The crowned coat of arms of San Marino occupies the central field, depicting the three towers of Guaita, Cesta, and Montale atop a rocky mount, framed by a wreath of olive and oak branches below. The legend REPUBBLICA DI S. MARINO arcs along the upper periphery, while the word LIBERTAS appears on a ribbon or cartouche at the base of the shield. The design is executed in a clean, classical style typical of the Italian mint's work of this period.
