备注

The Military Authority in Tripolitania was a British administrative body established after the Axis defeat in North Africa in early 1943, and these lire-denominated notes were part of a deliberate policy of maintaining Italian monetary units in the occupied territory rather than introducing British Armed Forces currency — largely to ease the transition for a local population still economically oriented toward the outgoing Italian colonial administration.

The extended validity window into 1951 reflects how long the British military occupation of Tripolitania actually lasted before Libyan independence in December 1951 formally closed the books on this series.
