Opmerkingen

The eighth emission of the Turkish lira series introduced after the 2005 redenomination — which lopped six zeros off a currency that had deteriorated to roughly 1,800,000 TL per US dollar at its nadir. The 100 Yeni Türk Lirası (new lira) designation used at launch was quietly dropped in 2009 when the "Yeni" prefix was officially retired, making notes from the transitional window a minor nomenclature curiosity.

Printed entirely in-house at the Ankara banknote printing works, which has produced Turkish currency without interruption since the mid-1950s.
