| 背面描述 | The reverse features a stylised contour map of the Republic of Moldova rendered in black colour against a dark enamelled field, surrounded by an intricate electronic circuit-board pattern in raised silver lines that fills the entire background, evoking digital connectivity and modern payment infrastructure. Small five-pointed stars are applied at each of the twelve angles of the dodecagonal flan. To the left of centre, the coloured SEPA logotype is prominently displayed, with the letter 'E' replaced by a yellow Euro sign on a blue ground, flanked by the blue letters 'S', 'P', and 'A'. Beneath the logo, the full legend 'Single Euro Payments Area' appears in smaller roman capitals. |

Moldova is not a European Union member, but the country formally applied for EU candidacy in 2022 and has since pursued deep financial integration with European institutions. This coin marks the National Bank of Moldova's participation in SEPA, the payment infrastructure framework that harmonizes euro-denominated transfers across both EU and non-EU member states — a status Moldova achieved in 2024, making it one of the first non-EU candidate countries to gain full SEPA membership.
