| Obverse description | Laureate and lightly bearded bust of King Ferdinand I facing left, wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the nape of the neck. The bold, high-relief effigy fills the field and was modelled by engraver Paul-Marcel Dammann, whose signature P.M.DAMMANN appears in small incuse letters beneath the truncation. The circular legend FERDINAND I REGELE ROMANILOR arcs around the periphery, separated by a fine toothed border, with the date 1922 incused at the bottom of the field. |
