| 正面描述 | At the center of the obverse, a stylized depiction of the mythical Golden Fleece is rendered in high relief, evoking the ancient legend of Jason and the Argonauts. The central motif is framed by a circular legend inscribed in both the Georgian Mkhedruli script and the Latin alphabet. The lower portion of the field bears the inscriptions '1 OZ GOLD' and '999,9', attesting to the coin's weight and fineness. |

The Golden Fleece series draws on the ancient Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts, which ancient sources consistently located in Colchis — the region encompassing much of modern Georgia's Black Sea coast. The myth is not purely literary invention: Strabo recorded that local inhabitants used sheepskins to trap alluvial gold particles from Caucasian rivers, almost certainly the origin of the fleece narrative.
Georgia's National Bank launched this series following independence-era monetary reforms, issuing collector gold as a vehicle for asserting cultural continuity with one of antiquity's most geographically specific legends.
