Obverse description At left, a circular vignette contains the Burmese rising sun emblem with radiating rays. To the right, an oval portrait medallion presents Dr. Ba Maw, head of state of Burma, rendered in a fine linecut style within decorative cartouche borders. Burmese script inscriptions and the numeral denomination '100' appear in the upper and lower registers, with guilloche underprint patterning across the field.

Reverse description The central vignette presents a panoramic view of Mandalay Palace with its tiered pyatthat tower rising above the fortified walls, reflected in the surrounding moat, with sunburst rays emanating from behind the structure. Three large denomination numerals in Burmese script occupy circular guilloche panels at left, center-top, and right, flanked by elaborate scrollwork borders and mythological creature embellishments. The rising sun emblem appears in the lower center, with the numeral '100' and Burmese script denomination rendered in the lower corners.
