Obverse description	The central field displays the Zambian coat of arms in high relief, featuring a shield with wavy vertical lines representing the Victoria Falls, supported by a man in traditional attire on the left and a woman in traditional dress on the right. A fish eagle with wings displayed surmounts the shield above crossed picks and a hoe, symbolising the nation's mineral wealth and agriculture. Below the shield, a scroll bears the national motto ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION flanked by stylised maize cobs and a mine shaft. The legend ZAMBIA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 1998 positioned at the base of the design.
