Obverse description The national coat of arms of Zambia is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a shield bearing the Victoria Falls motif supported by a man to the dexter and a woman to the sinister, both rendered in a naturalistic style. An African fish eagle with outstretched wings surmounts the shield, while crossed tools appear beneath the eagle above the shield. A scroll at the base bears the national motto ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION. The legend ZAMBIA arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 1998 appears in the lower field below the coat of arms.
