In the center it is shown stylized honeycomb that symbolizes European Union. The structure of a honeycomb make twenty-seven cells that are filled with a star, symbols of a countries that are members of a European Union. Existing structure of the twenty-seven cells is annexed with a new, twenty-eighth cell. That new cell has a square in it and over the square is placed a star that symbolizes the final act of accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union as a new, twenty-eighth member. Along the edge in the ring it is written `REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA CLANICA EUROPSKE UNIJE` (The Republic of Croatia Member of the European Union). In the central lower part of a ring is written the date `1.VII.2013` (VII is number 7 in Roman).
