Sweden's Riksbank had printed its higher denominations domestically for decades, but the immediate postwar period created enough capacity strain that certain runs were contracted abroad. De La Rue handled this 100 Kronor series — a relatively unusual outsourcing decision for a country with a functioning state printing apparatus, and one that wasn't widely publicized at the time.
The short two-year issue window, 1952 to 1953, suggests this was a bridging print run rather than a full series replacement. Notes from TDLR contracts of this period are often distinguishable by plate characteristics if you know what to look for, though the Swedish authorities took care to maintain visual continuity with the preceding domestic issues.
