| Obverse description | The obverse is executed in dense intaglio engraving on a pink tonal underprint, framed by an elaborate guilloche border with repeated numeral 100 medallions at each corner and ETT HUNDRA in side panels. An oval portrait vignette at left centre presents a bearded gentleman in period dress with a ruffled collar, while the bank name GÖTEBORGS ENSKILDA BANK appears in a bold scrollwork cartouche at upper centre. The denomination ETT HUNDRA KRONOR is set in large letterpress type across the central field, accompanied by the handwritten place-date Göteborg, 1882. |
