Obverse description A standard Danish National Bank 100 Kroner note with a two-line red handstamp overprint authorizing circulation exclusively in the Faroe Islands, applied by Færø Amt in June 1940. The obverse carries the royal crown vignette at the top center over an intricate guilloche underprint extending across the full note field. A facsimile signature appears below the overprint text, which reads "Kun gyldig paa Færøerne" with the countersignature of Hilbert.
