| Opmerkingen |
Norges Bank relocated its operations to London after the German occupation of Norway in April 1940, continuing to issue currency under the authority of the Haakon VII government-in-exile. This note is part of that wartime series, printed by Waterlow & Sons in London for eventual use following liberation — not for circulation in occupied Norway, where German-administered Norges Bank issues remained in use under Reichskommissar Terboven.
Repatriation and controlled release after May 1945 meant many of these notes entered circulation only briefly before postwar currency reforms altered the supply picture considerably.
