Issued specifically to mark the year 2000, this is a commemorative circulation note — not a limited collector piece, but legal tender produced alongside the standard series. Thomas De La Rue handled the printing, as they did for much of the NBS's output during this period, with engraving by Václav Fajt, a Czech engraver whose work appeared on several Slovak issues despite the two countries' separation in 1993.
Pick 36 is sometimes confused with the regular 100 Korún issues; the millennium designation is the distinguishing factor, and it circulated freely rather than being withheld as a souvenir.
