Reverse description An allegorical female figure representing Liberty or the Republic is depicted in dynamic three-quarter pose, her semi-draped body rising from stylized waves or clouds, her right arm raised aloft brandishing an olive or laurel branch in triumph. The composition, executed in the Art Deco medallic style of engraver Otakar Španiel, conveys vigorous forward motion. The anniversary years 1918 and 1948 flank the figure in large numerals to the left and right respectively, commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of Czechoslovak independence. The denomination 100 appears in a recessed arc at the bottom of the field, with the engraver's signature O. ŠPANIEL incised in the lower left field.
