Státní Tiskárna Cenin — the Czech state security printer — occasionally produces philatelic and numismatic items for the collector market rather than for monetary circulation, and this falls into that category. It is not a legal tender banknote issued by the Czech National Bank, but a souvenir or specimen piece bearing the printer's own name as issuer, a format STC has used to showcase intaglio engraving techniques at trade fairs and exhibitions.

The engraving work by Srb and Šindelář is the actual point of interest here — both are among the most technically accomplished steel engravers currently working in Europe.
