Oldřich Kulhánek designed all twelve denominations of the post-1993 Czech series, giving the banknote program an unusual coherence for a newly independent state standing up its own currency at speed. The 100 Korun is engraved by two different hands — Ondráček on the obverse, Fajt on the reverse — a division of labor that was standard practice at Státní Tiskárna Cenin but occasionally produces subtle tonal inconsistencies between faces that sharp-eyed collectors notice on earlier print runs.
The 1995 date places this as a mid-series issue, after the initial 1993 printing rush that followed Czechoslovakia's dissolution.
