Opmerkingen

The Pathet Lao issued this note in parallel with the Royal Lao Government's currency during a period of active civil conflict, creating a dual-currency situation that persisted through the 1970s. Pathet Lao notes circulated primarily in the liberated zones under communist control and were printed with Chinese assistance — a practical expression of the political alignment that would shape Laos after 1975.

Following the Pathet Lao's consolidation of power and the abolition of the monarchy in December 1975, these notes were eventually superseded by the unified kip of the Lao PDR.
