Descrição do anverso	Central field features the large numeral '100' in bold relief, flanked on either side by stylised foliate sprays. Above the denomination, two phoenixes (bonghwang) face each other with wings raised and necks intertwined, symbolising Korean national identity. The Korean calendar year '4292' is inscribed above the phoenixes at the top of the field. The legend 'REPUBLIC OF KOREA' curves along the lower rim in Latin characters. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border.

Descrição do reverso	The reverse presents a bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of Syngman Rhee, the first President of the Republic of Korea, occupying the right portion of the field. The Hangul inscription '백환' (one hundred hwan) appears in large characters to the upper left of the portrait, with '한국은행' (Bank of Korea) inscribed vertically along the lower left rim. The field is otherwise plain, giving prominence to the presidential effigy. A small engraver's mark is visible near the lower right of the portrait truncation.
