An intaglio oval vignette at left carries a portrait of President Syngman Rhee in traditional Korean dress, set within a fine lathe-work border. The large Sino-Korean characters 百圜 occupy the centre-right, flanked by a red circular Bank of Korea seal, with the denomination 백환 lettered in the lower corners and the numeral 100 at upper left and right. |
