A modern fantasy piece — not a reproduction of any historical banknote and carrying no issuing authority with legal or historical standing. The "Bank van Nederlands Oost Indië" name evokes the Dutch colonial banking presence in the East Indies, but no institution of that exact name ever issued currency. The genuine colonial-era issuer was De Javasche Bank, established 1828.
Designed by Franck Medina, a French artist known for highly detailed fantasy note work on polymer substrate. Collector item only.
