Obverse description Purple intaglio on multicolour guilloche underprint. At right, an oval vignette portrays a native woman in three-quarter view holding a flaming torch, flanked by tropical fruit, with the year '1963' printed vertically alongside; the bold denomination 'HONDERD GULDEN' occupies the centre in letterpress, and a radiating fan-shaped guilloche motif appears at lower centre with an oval watermark window at left. The bank title 'CENTRALE BANK VAN SURINAME' runs along the upper margin, while the date '1 SEPTEMBER 1963' and the title 'PRESIDENT' are set at lower centre.
