| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by an elaborate guilloche border of interlocking rosette and lattice ornaments in dark brown ink, enclosing the central text field. A large pink-red guilloche underprint cloud vignette occupies the centre, over which the issuing institution name and denomination are printed in bold letterpress. The serial number "Serie NB" and issue details read "AMSTERDAM / Uitgifte 1 Augustus 1914" at the foot, with two manuscript facsimile signatures for the Secretaris and President flanking a block of legal tender text. |
