Suriname's Olympic commemorative program in the early 1990s produced several variants distinguished by the presence or absence of the silver fineness mark "999" in the design field — an engraving inconsistency that generated two catalogued types for the same issue. KM#41.2 is the without-999 variety, now the scarcer of the pair in most dealer stocks despite originating from the same minting run.
