| Opmerkingen |
Haiti's currency had been managed under direct American supervision from 1915 until 1947, when the Banque Nationale de la République d'Haïti finally recovered full monetary control. The Banque de la République d'Haïti, established in 1979 after a restructuring, has contracted its printing almost exclusively to Giesecke & Devrient for decades — a long-running relationship that standardized the physical quality of Haitian notes considerably compared to the erratic output of earlier series.
The year 2000 issue of P#268 carries a security thread and watermark but no holographic elements, placing it in an older G&D security tier that the printer had largely moved beyond by the mid-2000s.
