| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Zog I in right-facing profile, rendered in high relief with fine naturalistic detail to the hair and facial features. The truncation of the neck is plain and unadorned. The circular legend reads ZOG·I MBRETI·I·SHQIPTAREVET, meaning 'Zog I, King of the Albanians', arranged around the periphery.
