Burundi's fish-themed bullion-style issues of the mid-2010s were produced for the collector market, not domestic circulation — Burundi has never meaningfully used silver or silver-plated coinage in everyday commerce. The Zanclus cornutus, commonly called the Moorish idol, gave its name to its own monotypic family, Zanclidae, a taxonomic distinction that has been debated since Linnaeus first described the species in 1758.
