| 背面描述 | Central design depicts a Polynesian coastal landscape featuring two prominent volcanic mountain peaks rising dramatically in the background, flanked on either side by tall coconut palm trees. In the foreground, a traditional outrigger sailing canoe rests on a beach with stylized ocean waves below, evoking the maritime heritage of French Polynesia. The denomination 100 F appears prominently in the upper field beneath the circular legend POLYNESIE FRANCAISE, which runs along the upper periphery. The engraver's signature A. GUZMAN is inscribed in small letters along the lower left rim. |

The IEOM was established in 1966 to manage currency for France's Pacific territories — New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Wallis and Futuna — after the Banque de l'Indochine lost its colonial mandate. These territories never joined the franc zone proper and were deliberately kept outside the CFA arrangement, giving the IEOM unusual autonomy within the French monetary system. The Pacific franc it issues remains pegged to the euro today at a fixed rate set in 1999.
