| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo occupies the centre of the field, depicting a leopard head facing front flanked by a crossed elephant tusk and spear, all mounted on a pedestal bearing the motto PAIX. The country name REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO arcs along the upper periphery as the principal legend, separated from the inner field by a ring of raised dots. The mottoes JUSTICE and TRAVAIL appear on the respective flanking elements of the emblem. The denomination 100 FRANCS is inscribed in large characters along the lower rim, with the metallic specification 0.5 g Au 999.9 placed immediately above it in the lower field. |
