Valtice — formerly Feldsberg — was the Liechtenstein family's primary Moravian seat for centuries before the post-WWI treaties effectively stranded their ancestral estates inside the newly formed Czechoslovakia. The family had based much of their wealth there; losing it without compensation shaped the principality's eventual pivot toward financial services as its economic foundation.
Struck in silver-plated copper-nickel rather than sterling, this is firmly a collector piece rather than a bullion issue.
