| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in blue intaglio on white paper, the obverse is composed within an elaborate allegorical border of putti and classical figures in the upper frieze, with seated female allegories of Commerce and Justice flanking the central text panel. The denomination CENT FRANCS is set in large letterpress type at centre, below the issuer name Banque de France, with the date and serial number in black above the two manuscript signatures. A lower central vignette presents cherubs and a text cartouche surrounded by fine guilloche scrollwork, with the series and numeral indexes appearing in each lower corner. |

Four classical medallion portraits — each rendered in intaglio — occupy the corners, while the numeral 100 appears in letterpress at upper left and right flanking a central five-pointed star motif. The denomination CENT FRANCS is inscribed in a cartouche at the lower centre, and the entire composition is enclosed within a dense arabesque guilloche border. |
