Reverse description Central field displays the denomination CENT FRANCS in two bold lines, with the date 1929 below, all set within a wreath composed of an olive branch to the left and a wheat ear to the right, their tips meeting at the top of the design. The word ESSAI appears in small capitals at the top of the inner field above the wreath. Two small privy marks are visible at the base of the wreath. The entire design is enclosed by the same characteristic dashed milled border as the obverse.
