| 表面の説明 | Left-facing laureate bust of Marianne, the allegorical personification of the French Republic, rendered in high relief in the Art Deco style. Her hair is elaborately dressed with an oak-leaf wreath tied at the nape with a ribbon. A five-pointed star appears in the upper field above her head. The legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE arcs along the periphery, flanking the effigy on both sides, with the engraver's signature ABEL LA FLEUR inscribed in two lines in the lower left field. The entire design is framed by a dentilated inner border. |

| 裏面の説明 | Central caduceus — the winged staff entwined by two serpents — surmounted by a radiant torch flame, rendered in bold Art Deco style and occupying the full height of the field. Two cornucopiae overflowing with fruits, grapes, and foliage flank the caduceus at the sides, their horns crossing beneath it and extending to the lower field. The denomination CENT FRANCS is inscribed horizontally across the central field, divided by the caduceus staff. The date 1929 appears in the exergue with the caduceus base separating the digits, and the word ESSAI is inscribed vertically at the lower right. A dentilated inner border frames the composition. |
