Opmerkingen

A privately issued fantasy note — not legal tender and never authorized by the Banque de France or any official monetary authority. These "royaume" series pieces, designed by Franck Medina, are produced for the collectors' novelty market and carry no issuing institution in any formal sense. Philippe III ruled from 1270 to 1285, a reign largely defined by the disastrous Aragonese Crusade of 1285, during which he died at Perpignan.

The inclusion of a security thread and watermark is a commercial decision aimed at the souvenir trade, not a regulatory requirement.
