| 正面描述 | The coin is struck in the form of a Latin cross, with the denomination '100 FRANCS CFA' repeated in each of the four arms of the cross. At the centre, within a raised circular border, appears the coat of arms of Cameroon featuring a shield bearing a balance scale, flanked by two crossed fasces with ribbons inscribed with the national motto in both French and English. The circular legend surrounding the arms reads 'REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN' and 'REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON', with 'PAIX WORK / PEACE WORK / TRAVAIL / PATRIE / FATHERLAND' distributed across the upper portion of the circle. The antique finish imparts a deeply toned, antiqued appearance to the silver-plated surface. |

Cameroon's papal commemorative program has produced dozens of issues across multiple denominations since the 1990s, largely distributed through European coin dealers rather than through any domestic circulation network. These pieces were never intended for use in Cameroon itself — the country's actual currency is the CFA franc, issued by the BEAC and shared across six central African states.
Silver-plated copper rather than sterling or fine silver keeps production costs low enough to sustain high mintage volumes aimed at the collector gift market.
