Obverse description Central device features the Tunisian royal emblem — a stylised minaret-like tower surmounted by a crescent, rendered in an Art Deco geometric style — set within a circular frame. The Arabic legend encircling the upper field reads 'المملكة التونسية' (Kingdom of Tunisia), while the dual dates '١٣٧٠ - ١٩٥٠' (AH 1370 - AD 1950) appear in the lower central field. The denomination 'مائة فرنك' (One Hundred Francs) is inscribed along the lower arc, with the word 'ESSAI' appearing in small Latin characters to the left of the central device. The engraver's signature is present in the lower field.
