Above the denomination, the Arabic word 'فرنك' (franc) appears, flanked by stylized arabesque ornamental motifs on either side. The legend 'MAROC' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the Arabic 'المغرب' (Morocco) curves along the lower periphery. The engraver's signature 'J. HAINAUT' is inscribed in small letters at the lower left, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
